iMultiply are delighted to be assisting SHARE Scotland in the search for a Finance Director
SHARE Scotland is a family-led organisation, providing high quality care for over 34 years. It’s highly-trained and dedicated workforce regularly achieves maximum 6-star ratings from the Care Inspectorate for the quality of care and support it delivers.
SHARE Scotland currently supports around 50 adult Service Users with complex learning difficulties. It operates throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire, employing over 150 direct care staff.
Funding is received from the various Local Authorities Share works with, through a variety of Health and Social Care Budgets.
The Finance Director will be part of the Senior Management Team, which is comprised of the Managing Director, Finance Director, two Area Managers, two Senior Service Managers and the Office Manager. The Finance Director will also act as Company Secretary and sit on the Finance Executive Committee and present to the Board of Trustees who meet approximately 6 times a year. The position will report to the Managing Director.

As Finance Director, you will play a critical role in the overall success of the charity. You will help to ensure that the organisation runs in a way that allows all Service Users to receive the high quality of care that Share Scotland is committed to. You will play a key role in negotiations with local authorities regarding funding and also work closely with service managers and the families of the Service Users, ensuring the finances of each person is managed with transparency and integrity.
This is a ‘hands on’ role where you will prepare monthly managements accounts and then work with the Senior Management Team and Direct Care staff to analyse and interpret that information for decision-making. You will also be actively involved in the budgeting process each year and responsible for the statutory accounts’ submission.
This is a role in which you will see the impact of your decision-making directly translate to the front line and to improving and enhancing the quality of life of all Service Users.
