An opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful and performing business as a Trainee Credit Control with Languages based in Edinburgh.

The Role

This newly created position will have you working in their newly created shared service function, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager with an exceptional track record for harnessing and developing the careers of finance professionals. The role involves chasing high volume payments for their European portfolio.

The Offer

The role of Trainee Credit Controller with Languages has arisen based in Edinburgh offering a salary of £19,000 - £23,000 including an excellent benefits package. Their offices are based in Edinburgh and are easily assessable via public transport with parking available on site.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager
  • Contacting clients using multiple languages via phone, email & letter to chase payment of invoices
  • Dealing with questions & queries relating to accounts payable invoices across multiple sites
  • Allocation of cash receipts to outstanding invoices
  • Contacting clients to educate around payment procedures & confirm receipt of invoices
  • Maintain and contribute towards an accurate client database
  • Occasional invoice processing
  • Adhere to internal processes, procedures & control
  • General ad hoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Be able to speak fluently in either French, German, Italian or Spanish
  • Previous experience within a finance role – minimum 3 months
  • Analytically minded with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
