The Role

The position of a Trainee Accounts Assistant will give you a wide level of exposure including statutory and management accounts preparation, VAT returns and bookkeeping. Furthermore, you will be given a portfolio of diverse clients to facilitate and have immediate contact with senior internal & external stakeholders. On Offer

The position of Trainee Accounts Assistant will offer a highly competitive salary of £16,000 – £18,000 including full study support. The offices are based in Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport including bus, train or tram.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Assisting in the management of a portfolio of diverse clients
  • Reporting to and deputising for the Accountants
  • Preparation of statutory and management accounts
  • Preparation ofVAT returns
  • Undertaking general Bookkeeping
  • Liaising with clients to build effective working relationships

To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:

  • Accountancy Firm experience - DESIRABLE
  • A strong academic record within Accountancy
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise and communicate with senior stakeholders
