iMultiply are delighted to be working on a Temporary Accounts Payable opportunity with a well-known organisation in the Scottish Borders.

The business is still at the early stages of its exciting journey and has recently refreshed its senior management team to take the company from a good to great phase.

The Role

The position of Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk has arisen based in the Scottish Borders paying a salary of £18,000 - £21,000 will run for approximately 6 months. The location of the business is the Scottish Borders and is commutable from the following locations: Innerleithen, Galashiels, Peebles, Melrose, Selkirk, Penicuik, Biggar and South of Edinburgh.

The position of Accounts Payable Clerk offers a salary of £18,000 -£21,000 for a fixed term

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Processing high volume purchase invoices
  • Performing Supplier Reconciliations
  • Administer Purchase Order process including invoice authorisations
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable Ledger to Nominal Ledger
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries
  • Administer company expense process
  • Supporting where appropriate the accounts administrators in other areas of the finance team
  • Ad hoc project work as directed by the Finance management team

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a similar working environment
  • Good all-round IT skills including knowledge of sage and MS excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision and as part of a team
