Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading the overall payroll function (8), working closely with the Payroll Manager
• Co-ordinating the delivery of the service in a timely fashion and in line with SLAs
• Managing workflow and delegating where necessary
• Coaching and developing the team
• Assessing existing processes and suggesting improvements/refinements where appropriate
• Keeping up to date with legislative changes
• Dealing with queries from customers
• Maintaining and enhancing client relationships
• Playing a key role in business development and winning new clients
• Cross selling and promoting the wider Firm
• Managing fees and WIP

The Person

• Seasoned payroll professional, ideally with experience in a Bureau
• Strong and capable people manager
• Solutions driven and problem solving attitude
• Positive and open mind
