The Role

The position of Senior Group Financial Accountant will report to the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the Director of Finance. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified Accountant with group experience and be extremely competent in the preparation of statutory accounts, audit preparation and ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet whilst developing processes, procedures & controls.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Report to the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the Director of Finance
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and returns under local & international standards
  • Assisting with the consolidation of local and international financial statements
  • Assisting with high value & business critical projects
  • Reviewing & developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet
  • Leading the year-end audit process
  • Assisting with treasury including intercompany accounting
  • Maintenance of fixed-asset register
  • Overseeing month end process including journals, accruals, prepayments etc.
  • Assisting with system developments and enhancements
  • Building relationships with other core finance functions and departments across the business
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant – ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA
  • Group experience with ideally consolidation exposure
  • Extremely well versed in financial accounting
  • Ability to interact and influence with senior internal & external stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
