The Company

The Role

This Senior Credit Control role is a key role within the finance team, you will also need to develop strong links between Finance, Customer Service and the Sales team. The role primarily manages the debtors’ ledger and the company’s cash collection, whilst managing the company’s exposure to risk, as well as proactively working with the Customer Service and Sales teams to maximise opportunities and develop customer relationships. Due to the urgent nature of the vacancy applicants due not hesitate in applying if interested.

The Offer

The permanent role is offering a highly competitive salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum. Their offices are based in Edinburgh and are easily accessible via public transport

You will be involved but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Accurately maintain customer accounts on ERP system;
  • Manage ledger in line with credit management targets and timelines through liaison with customers by telephone and email to ensure adherence to agreed contractual terms;
  • Manage and allocate payments received, Manage multi-currency payments
  • Monitor deductions and ensure relevant action is taken to resolve any issues
  • Order management requirements including order monitoring and release, in accordance with credit management policy
  • Manage the application of overdue payment fees;
  • Liaise with Customer Service Team, to ensure customer queries are resolved promptly
  • Liaise with sales teams regarding status of customer accounts
  • Regularly review of credit limits utilising credit reference agencies
  • Issue monthly statement of accounts with supporting documentation
  • Process card payments
  • Prepare AR reconciliations on a monthly and adhoc basis.
  • Provide regular reports to Credit Manager aged debt, cash inflow and ad hoc reports as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Considerable experience in a credit control role.
  • You will be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and will be a logical, solution-focussed thinker.
  • Experience using Excel at an advanced level
  • Experience handling a high volume ledger with varying values.
