iMultiply are delighted to be working on the role of Senior Audit Manager with a leading Accountancy Firm based in Edinburgh.

The Company

The Practice is part of one or the world's largest accountancy networks and has a large presence throughout the UK providing Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance, Corporate Recovery and Business Advisory services to a diverse client base. The local audit practice has grown steadily in recent years and has continued to pick up new clients during the lockdown period.

The Role

The Audit Senior Manager will be an integral member of the growing Audit group. The role will be responsible for servicing clients, directing all assurance services delivered, managing people and supporting the Partners with business development and practice management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact on fully listed and non listed clients
  • Leading and co-ordinating all areas of the audit.
  • Resource planning and allocation, performance management and training
  • Behaving as a role model – help the team achieve their goals through your mentoring and on the job coaching
  • Liaison with other departments - building strong internal relationships
  • Support the leadership team in sales and business development activity, playing a key role in client pitch teams, attendance at group networking, and other marketing events as appropriate.
  • Support Partners with the implementation and communication of any new business strategy for existing clients, target clients and the internal business.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of a sector and/or technical area, and/or commercial area.
  • Engage with clients more directly on technical and audit judgement decisions.

The person

  • ACCA/ICAS qualified or equivalent.
  • Significant post qualified Audit experience in Practice
  • Experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to large businesses, including listed and clients with overseas activities
  • Sound working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements
  • Experience of business development
  • Proven experience in managing a portfolio of concurrent projects
