iMultiply are engaged on the position of SAP Senior Project Accountant for a global business based in Edinburgh paying between £40,000 - £50,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

The Company

This business has expanded at a rapid rate due to organic growth and a few monumental acquisitions to make them formidable force within their sector with many labelling them the market leader. They have numerous high value and business critical projects kicking off shortly, none more important than the implementation of a brand-new ERP system which will provide extremely rare & valuable project exposure.

The Role

The implementation will be handled by a specialist team so this is not a Systems Accountant role but a unique opportunity to be sit between finance & IT to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall finance function.  The successful individual will firstly support the Scottish operations before then expanding their reach to benefit other regions, mostly remotely however travelling opportunities may also be offered. To be considered you must have extensive SAP experience and have practical experience of both management & financial accounting. A qualified Accountant is preferred however qualified by experience would be considered with strong practical experience.

On Offer

The role of SAP Senior Project Accountant will offer a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The office premises are based not far from the city centre and are easily accessible via public transport with parking facilitates also available. The location is also ideal if commuting from Fife, West Lothian, Falkirk, Stirling or Lanarkshire.

You will be involved in bot not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Projects Manager
  • Constant senior management team interaction including Financial Controller, Finance Director and Systems Director
  • Managing a number of high value & business critical projects
  • Working towards the optimisation of transactional finance operations and management & financial reporting in accordance with the use of SAP
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures and controls
  • Assisting with internal and external audit requirements in accordance with the use of SAP
  • Assisting with the continuous improvement program to improve infrastructure, tools & processes
  • Staff training and development in the use of SAP to improve the effectiveness & efficiency of the finance function
  • Liaising with other key functions such as taxation, treasury, legal, IT, procurement etc.
  • Business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant is desirable however qualified by experience will be accepted with relevant practical experience
  • Extensive SAP experience – ESSENTIAL
  • Practical experience of management & financial accounting – ESSENTIAL
  • Exposure to FICO modules would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and influence senior internal & external stakeholders
