iMultiply are delighted to be engaged on a permanent Project Accountant position based in Fife.

The Company

The Role

This business-critical role to support the Finance Manager and also liaise with Project teams. Furthermore, you will be under the stewardship of an exceptional line manager who has a proven track record and takes exceptional pride in developing the careers of Part Qualified Accountants. To be considered for this opportunity you must have a minimum of 3 years’ practical finance experience including strong analytical skills plus an advanced user of Excel.

On Offer

The role will offer a highly competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 including a full study support package plus an excellent benefits package which includes pension, ample holidays and other great benefits.  The offices are based in Fife and are easily accessible via public transport with parking available onsite.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Provide support and financial guidance to the Project Management team. 
  • Provide support to Project Managers in the preparation of their monthly reports. 
  • Assist Project Managers with variance analysis and forecast preparation. 
  • Investigate and effectively communicate deviations in actual costs vs forecast. 
  • Integrate fully with the site operations team to understand the operational process and associated costs. 
  • Contribute to the monthly Project Reviews process and support the Project Management team in any financial queries. 
  • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations. 
  • Reporting on Billed, Accrued / Unbilled Revenue and monitoring of cash collection. 
  • Ensure Aged Inventory is carefully monitored, and Open Purchase orders closed out accordingly. 
  • Support the Finance Manager in ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place across the business and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Assist with and take on any other duties as and when required in accordance with business needs. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years practical finance experience including strong financial analysis
  • Ideally, candidates will be at the final stages of their professional accounting qualification; ACCA/CIMA/ICAS or qualified by experience will be accepted
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
