The Role

The position of Personal Tax Senior/Supervisor will ideally suit a candidate with experience in Personal Tax from a practice or legal background. The role will involve managing a varied and interesting portfolio of clients encompassing both advisory and compliance work. You will be tasked with developing the wider team through and coaching and reviewing the work of the junior staff.

On Offer

The role of Personal Tax Senior/Supervisor will offer a salary of £30,000 - £38,000 plus an excellent benefits package. The Firm’s offices are based in the Edinburgh city centre and are easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Assisting in the management of a variety of clients including HNWI
  • Preparing Income and CGT Tax Computations
  • Assisting senior management in delivery of tax advisory work
  • Liaising with clients
  • Liaising with HMRC and external stakeholders
  • Developing and assisting in the management of a small team

To be considered for this role you must:

  • At least 3 years’ practice experience – ESSENTIAL
  • ATT/CTA or equivalent Qualified - DESIRABLE
  • Have an Accountancy Firm/Practice or Legal background – ESSENTIAL
  • Have experience of Tax Planning – DESIRABLE
  • Have a keen interest in developing and coaching other team members
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office
