iMultiply are delighted to be engaged on the position of Part-Time Payroll Officer with a non-for-profit organisation based in Edinburgh city centre. The role is paying a salary of £21,000 – £23,000 (pro rata).

The Company

The organisation operates in the 3rdsector, providing support for members of the community who need it most. Their main goal is to help these individuals live normal lives, with as little intervention from support workers as possible. They are looking to hire a high calibre payroll individual who believes in the work they are doing and wants to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate. 

The Role

The role of Part-Time Payroll Officer will report directly to the Payroll Manager and will require the successful candidate to have experience of running an end-to-end payroll. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of using Sage Payroll software, however this is not an essential requirement. 

On Offer

The role of Part-Time Payroll Officer will offer a salary of £21,000 - £23,000 (pro rata) plus a competitive benefits package. The role is a 28 hour per week post; with the office is based in Edinburgh City Centre (parking onsite). 

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Process monthly payroll for approx. 2000 employees
  • Add new employees to payroll
  • Maintain P45 tracker
  • Maintain employee records  - HMRC tax codes / Student Loans
  • Pension – auto enrolment/contributions uploaded to NEST
  • Email Payslips
  • Print & post P45’s
  • RTI Fillings - FPS / EPS / NINO
  • Wage reconciliations
  • Payroll Transfer, NI Journals and Staff Movement Journals upload at Month End
  • Reconcile Control Accounts for Wages at Month End ,D060 – D065

To be considered for the role you must: 

  • Have 2 years’ experience in a payroll related role 
  • Have experience of operating Sage Payroll (desirable not essential)
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and other relevant packages 
  • Have excellent communication and relationship building skills
