iMultiply are delighted to be engaged exclusively on a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Manager on a 6-12-month Fixed term contract with a strong possibility of going permanent, based in Edinburgh. The role is accessible by public transport and has onsite parking also.

The Role

The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the payroll system for the organisation which is in excess of 2,000 employees. The successful candidate will have experience of processing high volumes of payroll and ideally will have operated within a fast-paced environment.

On Offer

The role of Payroll Manager will offer a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package or alternatively would offer a day rate in excess of £200 a day should the successful candidate choose this option. The role will initially be on a 6-12-month contract with a strong possibility of going permanent.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Managing the payroll team including a Payroll Administrator and Junior Administrator
  • Processing a weekly and monthly payroll for in excess of 2,000 employees
  • Reviewing processes, procedure and controls with a view of further enhancement
  • Ensuring adherence with regulations and statutory returns including RTI, auto-enrolment and HMRC
  • Dealing with internal questions and queries while maintaining an excellent lever of customer service
  • Ensuring that the Company’s policies and procedures are followed at all times whilst adhering to company information agreements
  • Liaising with HR to maintain a large staff database including processing starters & leavers
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • A proven track record of operating within a senior payroll vacancy
  • Excellent knowledge of external requirements including HMRC, RTI and auto-enrolment
  • Supervisory or people management experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Exposure of the system Northgate would be advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
