The Role

The position of Payroll Assistant will find the successful candidate reporting into the Payroll Manager and covering for when they are on annual leave. You will be processing the payroll for over 300 employees across 3 different divisions of the company and answering any queries.

The Offer

The position of Payroll Assistant is offering a salary of up to £21,000 including an excellent benefits package and generous holiday allowance. Based in West Lothian their offices and have parking available onsite.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following:

  • Reporting to the Payroll Manager
  • Processing a monthly payroll for in excess of 300 employees of salaried and hourly paid staff
  • Ensuring adherence with regulations and statutory returns including RTI, auto-enrolment and HMRC
  • Dealing with internal questions and queries while maintaining an excellent lever of customer service
  • Ensuring that the Company’s policies and procedures are followed at all times whilst adhering to company information agreements
  • Liaising with HR to maintain a large staff database including processing starters & leavers
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years practical payroll experience
  • Experience of processing high volume, technical payroll
  • Experience of managing and training staff is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
