iMultiply Resourcing are delighted to be engaged on the permanent position of Payroll Assistant for a major UK player on the outskirts of Edinburgh paying upto £22,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

The Role

The Payroll Assistant will report directly to the HR Director but will also have a dotted line to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will have experience of processing high volumes of payroll and ideally will have operated within a fast-paced environment.

On Offer

The role of Payroll Assistant will offer a salary of £20,000 - £22,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The headquarters of the business are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh and have parking available onsite. You will be involved in, but not restricted to, the following duties:

  • Reporting to the HR Director with a dotted line to the Financial Controller
  • Processing a weekly and monthly payroll for a staff in excess of 2,000 employees
  • Ensuring adherence with regulations and statutory returns including RTI, auto-enrolment and HMRC
  • Dealing with internal questions and queries while maintaining an excellent level of customer service
  • Ensuring that the Company’s policies and procedures are followed at all times whilst adhering to company information agreements
  • Liaising with HR to maintain a large staff database including processing starters & leavers
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 12months practical payroll experience
  • Manual payroll calculations experience would be advantageous but not essential 
  • Exposure of using payroll systems 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
