iMultiply are delighted to be exclusively engaged on the role of Part-Time Bookkeeper for a well-established business based in Edinburgh. The role is offering a salary of £30,000 (pro rata) per annum. 

The Company

This SME have grown significantly since inception and have done so with heritage and tradition at their core. With a dramatic increase in revenue in the past 24 month they are about to enter a new exciting era of their business and are looking to bring in a driven innovative individual to help them on this journey. 

The Role

The role of Part-Time Bookkeeper will report to the owner of the business – working closely with the business’ Chartered Accountant. The successful candidate will be charged with all aspects of bookkeeping including the full month end procedure up to trial balance. It is imperative that this individual has exceptional accuracy and attention to detail; and that they are able to communicate in a highly professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.

On Offer

The role of Part-Time Bookkeeper will offer a salary of £30,000 (pro rata) for 24 hours per week (with flexibility on how this is split) – with an additional benefits package. The offices are based in Edinburgh with parking on site and are also easily accessible via public transport. 

You will be involved with but not limited to the following duties: 

  • Processing on Sage all routine book-keeping
  • Reconciling all bank and other accounts
  • VAT returns, EC Sales Lists. Alcoholic Ingredient Relief Claims
  • Completion of occasional government statistical surveys (including the US FDA return)
  • Checking customer payments and chasing debts as needed
  • Preparing payment run and list for director’s approval
  • Administrative tasks as required, updating databases, answering phones and providing holiday cover for two administrators in the office

To be considered for the role you must: 

  • Have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Have experience of operating Sage accounting software or similar 
  • Have excellent accuracy and attention to detail (ESSENTIAL)
  • Have the ability to communicate in a highly professional manner 
  • Have excellent MS Excel skills i.e. pivot tables, vlookups etc.
