An exciting opportunity for a Part Qualified Finance Analyst suitable for a budding Part Qualified Accountant has arisen in South Queensferry.

The Company

A highly commercial company based in South Queensferry are currently seeking a Part Qualified Finance Analyst to join their ever-growing team. This position presents the opportunity to join a massively growing business that is operating within an established business sector. The business is already very well established and now requires talented & ambitious individuals to complement its already impressive team. 

The Role

This role will be reporting directly into the Senior Management Accountant and a dotted line to the Finance Director and is an extremely varied role where the successful candidate will receive unlimited exposure with the ability to progress & develop. To be considered for this role you must be prepared to assist and support the group finance function in the weekly and monthly reporting cycle including submission to our external stakeholders.Strict timelines exist for weekly and monthly submissions therefore the successful candidate will be extremely organised and driven to meet the deadlines. Providing insight and implementing new processes to improve on controls require analysis to take place and the successful candidate will be supported in driving and implementing these process improvements.

The Offer

The position of Part Qualified Finance Analyst is offering a salary of £23,000 - £26,000 including study support, generous holiday allowance and excellent benefits package. Their Offices are based in South Queensferry and are easily accessible via public transport with parking available on site also.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Management and ownership of the weekly and monthly financing submissions to the deadlines.
  • Provide analysis of these figures to drive process improvements and implement greater company wide controls. 
  • Ownership of the stock invoicing process for sales to Intercompany accounts.
  • Weekly reconciliation and monitoring of our Global E-commerce platform including commission agreement.
  • Involvement in the stock elements of the month end process, including monthly review of related balance sheets.
  • Support of the wider finance team and involvement in other ad hoc responsibilities as required.
  • Have a full understanding of all procedures and systems in place – “roll sleeves up” and help the team when necessary

To be considered for this position you must be the following:

  • Actively studying towards CIMA or, ACCA
  • Good and practical knowledge of current accounting standards (essential)
  • Experience in management accounting role (essential)
  • Have previous experience using ERP systems such as AX dynamics, SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards
  • PC-literate with a good, working knowledge of Excel.
  • Able to work within a small team and as well as on your own in initiative
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication
