The Role

The role of Part Qualified Assistant Accountant presents the opportunity to join a world-class finance function and will offer ample career progression development opportunities due to the significant size of the business. The key purpose of this newly created role is to support the Edinburgh based Finance Manager in their delivery of timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting. The role will also require close working relationships with other department heads.

The Offer

This newly created Part Qualified Assistant Accountant position will offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 plus an excellent benefits package including study support generous holiday allowance and an excellent benefits package. The offices are based in Edinburgh and are easily accessable via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Ops reporting; ensuring internal reporting deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to the creation of new Ops reporting processes.
  • P&L Reporting
  • Reporting of non-financial KPI’s
  • Preparation and posting of routine revenue, cost of sales and overhead journal entries.
  • Preparation of month end reconciliations.
  • Management of departmental overheads at a detailed level.  
  • Assist with interim and year end external audit requirements.
  • Assist with annual budget process.
  • Preparation of ad hoc financial reports.
  • Foreign currency experience useful due to the growth in international business

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA 
  • 2+ years’ experience in a finance role
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
