This market leading Tax division of a Big Four professional services firm currently requires a dynamic and ambitious Corporate Tax professional to join its specialist M&A Tax team.

The Role

The role will involve assisting clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. You’ll focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyse and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts.


As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships

The Person

  • ​Qualified to CA/CTA level
  • Extensive experience in UK Corporate Tax
  • Exposure to international Tax issues
  • Desire to specialise in M&A Tax and to develop skills and knowledge in this area
  • Experience in a client facing role
Previous experience in M&A Tax, whilst advantageous, is not essential but the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the necessary drive and work ethic to flourish in this exciting and challenging area.
