iMultiply are exclusively assisting a highly commercial business in Edinburgh with the recruitment of a permanent Management Accountant.

The Company

It’s been a really exciting couple of years for this highly commercial business as they have expanded as a result of organic growth and M&A activity. The priority of the business now is to attract, retain and develop top talent so that is can replenish its succession planning pool. This will allow the Senior Management team the ability to delegate a number of high value and business critical projects which will increase the capability & exposure of the finance function whilst driving forward business performance.

The Role

The position of Management Accountant will work closely with and support both the Financial Controller & Finance Director. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified Accountant with a strong industry background i.e. engineering, construction, manufacturing etc. The ability to manipulate and analysis high volumes of data that can be translated into detailed & insightful reports that can be used to business partner with multiply divisions is highly advantageous.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary of £42,000 - £45,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The role is based in Edinburgh with parking facilities available onsite.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller & Finance Director
  • Overseeing a number of high value & business critical projects
  • Business partnering with non-financial stakeholders
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Variance analysis
  • periodic, bespoke and adhoc financial analysis
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting & cashflow analysis
  • Assisting with year-end duties and audit preparation
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Assisting with system and software developments
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant – ESSENTIAL
  • Strong industry background - engineering, construction, manufacturing etc.
  • Ability to analysis high volumes of data and produce insightful reports to business partner with various stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
