An experienced Legal Cashier is sought by an award-winning firm based in Glasgow.

 

The Company

The Role

Your previous experience in a similar role will prove essential as you take on a variety of duties within this busy and fast-paced cashroom team. Your workload will be varied and you will be comfortable assisting other areas of the business as and when required. You will of course receive training but an ability to hit the ground running and add value from day one will be required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Report into the Finance Manager and provide support as required
  • Review and input data accurately and promptly onto the finance system
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Processing partner payments
  • Preparation of client and office banking
  • Assisting Finance Manager at month and year-end
  • Posting of office cash receipts to ledgers, liaising with credit control regarding correct allocation
  • Liaise with fee earners regarding transactions
  • Use of on-line banking systems for processing payments
  • Purchase Ledger duties
  • Provide audit evidence and ensure compliance with Law Society rules for client funds
  • General administrative support to the Finance Team

 

On Offer

This role comes with a salary of £22k, plus additional benefits. The office is easily accessible in Glasgow City Centre. 

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier is essential
  • Ideally you will have (or will be working towards) SOLAS qualification
  • Knowledge of Law Society Regulations
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse workload
  • Excellent communication skills
