The Role

The role of International Tax Advisor is a unique and exciting role which offers the chance to work on the business’ global tax affairs along with the Partner's Tax matters. You will be involved with delivering the Tax work for a business with a turnover of just under 1bn and over 30 legal entities. This fantastic opportunity sits within an innovative and ever-changing environment and so the successful individual should be comfortable in dealing with this.

On Offer

The role of International Tax Advisor will offer a competitive salary plus a highly competitive benefits package including generous bonus & pension allowances. The business' premises are based in the Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved with but not restricted to the below duties:

  • Dealing with the business’ global tax matters as well as assisting with the management of partner's tax affairs
  • Providing an in-house tax function to ensure the compliance requirements are being met on time
  • Assisting the Partnership Tax Team
  • Calculation of Tax provisions
  • Preparation of tax disclosures to be included in the year-end accounts
  • Liaising with Finance Managers across various tax matters
  • Ensuring the relevant authorities are made aware of business changes which could affect the business’ tax position
  • Assisting with Tax work on acquisitions of new businesses

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant DESIRABLE
  • Solid understanding of the UK tax system
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • An analytical and open mind
