An experienced Head Of Finance is required by growing business based in Glasgow.


The Company

This Glasgow-based charity provide an invaluable service to individuals in the Glasgow area who have additional support needs, such as learning difficulties and disabilities. They have an excellent reputation and have become quite high profile in recent years, with plans for further expansion the near future.


The Role

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will be the main point of contact for all accountancy matters within the business and you will ensure the small team is managed effectively on a daily basis. By utilizing your previous experience of a similar role, you will develop a culture of continuous improvement and you will be heavily involved in the on-going development and expansion of the business.



  • Responsible for all Management Accounts and Financial Reporting
  • Control all areas of the finance function
  • Lead and develop a small team of finance administrators
  • Manage relationships with banks, local authorities and other external stakeholders
  • Review and streamline all reporting procedures
  • On-going financial analysis with insightful reports presented to senior management
  • Maintain continual contact with managers across the business to control and analyse costs and ensure savings can be made where applicable
  • Prepare and present funding applications to various sources


On Offer

This role comes with a salary of £40-45k, which will depend on experience and level of qualification. There is also an excellent benefit package on offer.


To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Ideally, you will be a fully qualified Accountant with demonstrable post-qualification experience.
  • You must be a skilled negotiator with a proven track record of dealing with funding applications via various sources, eg banks, Business Growth Fund etc
  • Team management experience is essential
  • Previous experience of implementing systems/procedures is essential
  • Excellent IT skills will be required, particularly Excel and Sage
