iMultiply are supporting a high growth SME with the appointment of a permanent Head of Finance based in Edinburgh paying upto £55,000.

The Company

This thriving SME has extraordinary growth potential over the next five years with 6/7m EBITDA looking likely for this year, and that’s forecasted to double over the next two years. Its aggressive but highly achievable expansion plan will be achieved through a combination of organic growth and M&A activity, furthermore it’s not ruled out the possibility of listing.

The Role

The position of Head of Finance is a newly created role and additional headcount as a result of a departmental restructure where the CFO is striving to improve overall financial readiness by enhancing processes, procedures, controls, systems and reporting. It’s essential that these foundations are put into place now and the successful individual with play a leading role in ensuring the finance function is fit for purpose and scalable.  

On Offer

The role of Head of Finance will offer a salary upto £55,000 plus other company benefits. The offices premises are based in Edinburgh with parking facilitates available upon request.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the CFO
  • Managing a sizable finance function including management accounts, purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, credit control and overseeing payroll
  • Heading up business critical projects such as process improvement and systems development
  • Working closely with the Head of Operations to maximise profitability  
  • Production of monthly reporting packs for various entities including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statements
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts including group consolidations
  • Variance analysis with ability to understand and challenge discrepancies
  • Budget setting and monitoring
  • Short, medium and long-term forecasting  
  • Assisting with statutory accounts preparation, returns and annual audit
  • Liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Proven track record of managing a finance team – ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of project managing process and systems improvements would be highly advantageous
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management exposure
