Head of Finance & Corporate Accounting 

iMultiply are delighted to be supporting with the appointment of a permanent Head of Finance & Corporate Accounting based in Edinburgh paying £60,000 - £65,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

It’s now crucial they attract a talent senior finance professional that can push the finance function from a good to great stage.

The Role

The position of Head of Finance & Corporate Accounting reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services making them the number one within finance. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience and a proven track record of operating within a senior finance professional role.

On Offer

The role of Head of Finance & Corporate Accounting will offer a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The office premises are based centrally in Edinburgh and easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Director of Corporate Services
  • Attending Board meeting and internal Committees with ability to influence strategy, direction and assessing & mitigating risks
  • Reviewing and improving the financial readiness of the business 
  • Responsible for business planning and performance assessment including KPI setting & reporting
  • Managing the entire finance function including managing a sizable team through a few senior managers
  • Overseeing the budget setting and monitoring process
  • Short, medium and long term forecasting including cashflow analysis & cash position
  • Overseeing statutory accounts/returns, management accounting, audit preparation, taxation, VAT, payroll and compliance
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Setting and ensuring the adherence of the company treasury policy
  • Reviewing and developing systems and financial software
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience
  • Proven track record of operating as a senior finance professional - Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director
  • Strong experience of Corporate Accounting/Financial Services 
  • Ability to engage, communicate and influence senior internal & external stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
