iMultiply are delighted to be engaged on a permanent Head of Finance role based in Edinburgh city centre.

A thriving and highly entrepreneurial family owned business that is renowned for exceeding industry standards hence their rapid growth over the last decade. The business has significantly diversified over the past few years with multiply revenue streams/divisions including renewable energy, property, investment management, private equity and various other highly topical & exciting sectors. 

The Role

The position of Head of Finance is a newly developed role which will report to the Chief Financial Officer and head up a number of key business units. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified Accountant that is comfortable in operating within a fast-paced environment for a business that has aggressive expansions plans and is never satisfied with standing still. On Offer

The role of Head of Finance will offer a highly competitive package of up to £60,000 including bonus and other benefits including generous pension/holiday allowances. 

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line to the Chief Executive Officer 
  • Managing and supervising qualified, part qualified and transactional finance employees
  • Preparation and presentation of Board packs 
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting packs for various entities
  • Supporting with budget setting and monitoring including variance analysis and ability to understand & challenge discrepancies
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for various entities
  • VAT and taxation returns
  • Short, medium and long-term forecasting including analysis of capital requirements
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Overseeing month-end including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, invoicing, payments, expenses etc. 
  • Reviewing processes, procedures, controls and systems
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ICAS or ICAEW
  • People supervisory and/or management experience 
  • Exposure to management & statutory accounts
  • Experience of taxation and group accounts would be advantageous but not essential
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
