One of the world's largest professional services firms currently requires an experienced Global Mobility Executive to join its Glasgow based team.

The Firm 

This international accountancy practice provides a full range of professional services including its Global Mobility service line which works with a range of dynamic businesses from those going global for the first time to companies with established expatriate programmes. 

The Role

This Executive role will primarily involve assisting the Managers and Senior Managers in providing Tax compliance and advice to a dynamic client portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing general support to clients in the provision of tax advice.
  • Preparing tax returns and computations in conjunction with agreed timescales; ensures the efficient and risk managed delivery of compliance.
  • Preparing and filing ruling requests on behalf of the client.
  • Supporting managers on tax planning and other ad hoc projects.
  • Producing a well-supported piece of technical research.
  • Assisting with the production of tax reports and reviewing documents.
  • Acting as a point of contact on specific projects for any queries from the business.
  • Building good rapport with the client, with a clear understanding of client expectations and achieving high levels of client service.
  • Providing general support to clients in the provision of tax advice.
  • Regularly attending meetings; when appropriate, answering client queries. 

The Person

  • Will be able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant area of work.
  • Seeks solutions to technical issues and demonstrates a willingness to understand and recognise the breadth of possible technical issues.
  • Is an approachable and respected member of the team who takes a proactive interest in the team's performance and wellbeing.
  • Inputs to all performance reviews on assignments for junior team members, and also completes self-job and performance reviews including biannual reviews on a timely basis.
  • 3+ years’ experience working within an accounting practice tax department 
  • CTA or overseas equivalent preferable.
  • Working knowledge of the UK tax system essential
  • Working knowledge of any overseas tax system desirable
