A rare opportunity for an experience Financial Controller has arisen within a fantastic business based near Glasgow

The Company

This rapidly-expanding manufacturing and distribution business have gone from strength to strength in recent years. They have plans to continue their expansion internationally and have invested heavily in developing the business.

The Role

The position is very hands on and you will be required to business partner with key operational stakeholders and be personally responsible for driving performance forward to increase the bottom line.

You will oversee and grow the team and ensure that you lead by example in order to cultivate an environment focussed on continuous improvement.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Group Finance Director with a dotted line to the Managing Director
  • Lead and develop a high performance team
  • Oversee all accounting operations
  • Presentation of monthly reporting packs to senior stakeholders & management
  • KPI setting, monitoring and reporting
  • Budget setting & monitoring
  • Managing all tax obligations and ensuring compliance
  • Cashflow analysis including managing working capital
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & financial controls
  • Preparation of financial reporting to group for year end
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Ad hoc duties

On Offer

The role of Financial Controller will offer a highly competitive salary of £55-65k, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with 3 years+ post qualification experience
  • BIG4-trained would be
  • Experience of operating within large commercial environments is highly advantageous
  • People Management experience is essential
  • Experience of finance business partnering including ability to influence senior stakeholders & management
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
