A Qualified Accountant is required for a Financial Controller vacancy within a Glasgow-based business.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will have ultimate responsibility for managing the finances for your allocated division/region and you will continually develop the skills of your team members. This will be a fast-paced role and you will be heavily involved in the on-going growth of the business.



  • Production and consolidation of accounts for your allocated international entities
  • Production of Management Accounts
  • Presentation and analysis of P&L
  • Develop KPI reporting tools
  • Ensure effective financial controls are in place and make any improvements required
  • Oversee all processes, such as invoicing, credit control, bank reconciliations, inter-company transactions etc
  • Manage and develop the small team and ensure performance levels are of the highest standard
  • Maintain effective dialogue with banks, HMRC, governing bodies etc and ensure compliance with regulations

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • A recognised Accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA) is essential for this role. Unfortunately, candidates without a suitable qualification will not be considered
  • Experience of working within a Group structure, and exposure to Group consolidations, is strongly preferred
  • You will be comfortable dealing with multiple currencies
  • Previous experience of dealing international stakeholders
  • Team management experience will be required, including delivery of training sessions, dealing with HR issues, conducting appraisals, recruitment etc
  • First class IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups etc)
