iMultiply have been engaged to recruit a permanent Financial Controller based close to the Gyle in Edinburgh for a highly commercial business paying £60,000 - £75,000 plus an excellent benefits package.

This highly commercial business has gone through a decade of constant organic growth and a few highly impressive acquisitions. They are now considered by many to be the market leader within their specialist field and are undoubtedly a major force right through-out the UK and an eye on expanding internationally.  

The Role

The position of Financial Controller is a newly developed role where the successful individual with be responsible for a number of high value & business critical projects whilst also overseeing the core finance function including qualified, part qualified and some transactional staff. To be considered you must be a qualified Accountant with extensive projects experience from a highly commercial section such as construction, engineering, house building, facilities management etc.

On Offer

The role of Financial Controller will offer a salary of £60,000 - £75,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package including bonus, pension and other perks. The office premises are based close to the Gyle in Edinburgh with parking facilities available onsite.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line to the Managing Director
  • Responsible for a number of high value and business critical projects including facing off to and business partnering with a range of internal divisions & senior stakeholders
  • Managing a team of qualified, part qualified and transactional staff
  • Providing leadership, direction and guidance to the Board/SMT on financial governance and financial planning
  • Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs to Board level and internal committees
  • Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with internal/external auditors
  • Conducting acquisition due diligence and integrations
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures and controls
  • Conducting project and contract analysis to ensure financial viability and positively impact the bottom line
  • Assist with systems integrations and developments
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant - ESSENTIAL
  • Proven track record of operating within a senior management post
  • Extensive projects within a highly commercial environment such as construction, engineering, house building, facilities management etc.
  • Ability to engage, interact and influence senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
