The Role

The position of Financial Consultant requires a professionally qualified Accountant with a keen interest in understanding and utilising technology in a business environment. The ability to understand a company’s needs, and to formulate and deliver solutions are key requirements of this role, as is explaining complex financial information and accounting structures to non-finance stakeholders. Project management capabilities, in addition to first class communication skills, are also essential criteria.

On Offer

The position of Financial Consultant will pay between £40,000 - £55,000. The base salary will be complimented by an excellent benefits package including generous holiday entitlement, flexible working arrangements, and other great benefits. The office premises are based in Belfast city centre and easily accessible by public transport.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with customers to understand individual system requirements and then utilise accounting knowledge and technology to deliver results that create value and simplicity for end users
  • Lead delivery projects ensuring appropriate solutions are implemented and that end users are optimising the capabilities of the systems as they flow through the wider business
  • Display financial and accounting know-how to benefit the end user and ultimately deliver best practice for customers
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of the role

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:

  • Be a qualified Accountant with a keen interest in utilising technology in the workplace
  • Have a real understanding of financial applications and how they interconnect, to include core transactional processes, financial reporting, and budget and cash forecasting mechanisms
  • Possess first class commercial acumen and technical ability
  • Be comfortable communicating effectively with a multitude of inter-disciplinary stakeholders at all levels of a business
