iMultiply are exclusively engaged to appoint a permanent Financial Accountant based in Glasgow city centre paying £40,000 - £50,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

The Role

The position of Financial Accountant will report to and deputise for the Finance Director. The Finance Director is planning to transition into an operational/commercial role within the next 5 years so ideally the business would look to appoint an individual capable of providing an internal succession plan. The role requires an individual that is capable of being hands on with both financial & management accountant, overseeing 2 Finance Assistants and has a passion for improving processes, procedures & controls. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified Accountant, ideally with 3 years+ post qualification experience.

The office premised are based in Glasgow city centre. The role of Financial Accountant will offer a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus the following benefits

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Director
  • Assisting with financial planning, performance analysis and business strategy
  • Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs including business partnering with departmental heads
  • Variance analysis
  • Budget setting and monitoring 
  • Short, medium and long-term forecasting 
  • Cashflow analysis
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet
  • Overseeing the transactional function – purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and payroll
  • Developing and enhancing processes, procedures and controls
  • Reviewing financial systems and software with a view of further enhancements
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with ideally 3 years+ post qualification experience – ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/ICAEW
  • Experience of both financial and management accountant
  • Proven track record of developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Ability to build relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
