iMultiply are exclusively engaged on the position of Finance Manager based in the Scottish Borders paying from £45,000 - £55,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

The Company

The successful candidate will instantly be exposed to its internal Executive team and also be tasked with building strong relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers.

The Role

The position of Finance Manager is a hands on position looking after the daily operational finances, whilst providing the Finance Director and Executive team with valuable insight to influence strategy and direction. You will also be tasked with providing leadership for the transactional finance team including overseeing/distributing workloads and also appraisals.

On Offer

The position of Finance Manager will offer a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based in the Scottish Borders and easily accessible from Coldstream, Jedburgh, Kelso, Galashiels, Lauder, Hawick, Melrose, Innerleithen and Midlothian (Dalkeith, Bonnyrigg).

You will be involved but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Director
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the transactional finance team
  • Influencing strategy and direction through valuable insight and analysis
  • Business partnering with Departmental Heads
  • Production and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of year-end accounts and statutory returns
  • Assisting with budget setting and monitoring
  • Cashflow analysis
  • VAT returns
  • Overseeing payroll
  • Overseeing month-end close
  • Providing advice and guidance on projects & M&A activity
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant however qualified by experience will also be considered
  • Supervisory or people management experience would be advantageous
  • Strong management & financial accounting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
