iMultiply are delighted to be engaged by a well-established charity organisation to assist with the permanent appointment of a Finance Manager paying £35,000 - £37,000 based just outside Edinburgh City Centre

The Role

The position of Finance Manager will report directly to the Director of Finance. The role is varied and will offer the opportunity to be involved in several areas of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing a team, preparing the management & annual accounts, submitting VAT returns, authorising payroll and providing budget holders with clear and concise advice.

On Offer

The role of Finance Manager will offer a salary of £35,000 - £37,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are just outside Edinburgh City Centre with parking available on site.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Director of Finance
  • Having a strong relationship with the Director of Finance and collaborating to review and develop systems, policies, processes procedures & controls
  • Managing, mentoring and developing the current finance team
  • Preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare of year-end account for all the funds and entities relating to the charity
  • Providing guidance, direction and input to the charity budget holders across the organisation including setting budgets and monitoring performance & variances
  • Submitting VAT returns
  • Overseeing month/year-end close including balance sheet maintenance, accruals, journals, prepayments, purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations etc.
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant – ESSENTIAL
  • Not for profit sector experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to provide financial information to non-financial departments and budget holders
  • Strong Excel & Analytical experience
