iMultiply are delighted to be working exclusively and retained with a well known business in the West Lothian area who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. Working in conjunction with the COO, you will apply a best practice approach to the finance team's systems and processes along with taking a lead role in coaching the members of the finance team in the new processes and procedures.

This role will give the successful individual an opportunity to make a really positive impact on the business from an early stage and play a large part in the future success of the business going forward. Furthermore, you will also be heavily involved in systems upgrades, developing detailed management board packs and get exposure to integrations and future acquisitions. For the right candidate coming into this role there is also a steady path for progression in the medium term.

Reporting directly to the COO you will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts within tight deadlines including balance sheet reconciliations and schedules for all balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of board reports with variance reporting
  • Weekly rolling cashflow forecasts and variance reporting
  • Preparation of annual budgets, and re-forecasts during year
  • Liaise with invoice factor including managing regular audits, day to day requirements for invoice discounting and trade finance facilities, monthly reconciliations and covenant compliance for factoring company
  • Monthly and weekly payroll processing and adherence to all HMRC monthly and annual submissions (RTI, year ends, P60a, P11D’s etc)
  • Manage the annual audit, liaise with company auditors, preparing comprehensive year end pack including all schedules and reconciliations
  • Prepare statistical information required by the government
  • Managing bank accounts, weekly bank reconciliations
  • Management and coaching of the finance team (purchase and sales ledgers)

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong business partnering skills and a proactive approach to stakeholders
  • Proven track record of developing systems and processes
  • Previous experience of dealing with stock and margin analysis
  • Strong knowledge of ERP and other finance systems
  • Experience of dealing with invoice finance arrangements - ESSENTIAL 
  • Experience of Sage200 desired but not essential
