The Company

The Role

This business-critical role is a newly created posted to support the business directors and also liaise with senior managers and budget holders. Furthermore, you will partner with the sales team to provide valuable insight, direction and guidance. To be considered for this opportunity you must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role and have a strong commercial industry background. On Offer

The role will offer a highly competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 including an excellent benefits package which includes pension, ample holidays and other great benefits.  The offices are remotely based but where you will eaither need to be based locally or drive.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Drive the continuous improvement of accounting practices in the business particularly as the business grows.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
  • Draft monthly management accounts and other reports as necessary.
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and present your findings to the board.
  • Continually identify risks to the business, propose solutions where necessary, and effectively manage shareholder expectations.
  • Assist the managing director in budgeting and forecasting,
  • Work with the sales team to resolve their queries and prepare any information they require
  • Deal with working capital management including credit control and the production of cash flow forecasts
  • Lead the finance team responsibilities for payroll, VAT, HMRC processes and deal with HMRC when necessary.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified or part qualified accountants will be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years practical finance experience in a similar role including strong financial analysis
  • Previous experience in a managerial role with people management responsibilities
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
