An experienced Finance Director is required for a 3 month interim assignment (on a part time basis) with a Glasgow based Housing Association.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Senior Management team, you'd be responsible for Finance, Team Management, Strategic Business Planning and Leading on Finance Projects. 

This is an interim role which will cover 3 days per week and is likely to be for 3 months.

The organisation is looking for individuals who are on no more than 2 weeks’ notice and have a background working at this level in a Housing Association.


  • Providing support to the CEO as required
  • Lead the financial business planning for the Association, including annual, mid term and long term financial plans
  • Lead and inspire change
  • Maintain the development of a performance and customer focused culture within the finance team
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory frameworks
  • Assist with overseeing all financial reporting

On Offer

This Interim role will last a minimum of 3 months and will cover 3 days per week (there will be flexibility on the specific days). The remuneration is negotiable depending on experience.

The Following Requirements Are Essential:

  • You MUST be a professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA). Unfortunately, applicants without a suitable qualification will not be considered
  • You MUST have significant senior level financial management experience within the Housing Association Sector 
  • Expert knowledge of financial regulations within the Housing Association Sector will be required

Other Requirements:

  • You should be a strategic thinker and planner with the ability to analyse complex financial information and present this in an understandable format
  • You will be someone who has the ability to build excellent rapport with customers and internal and external stakeholders 
  • First class IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
