The Role

The key focus for this Finance Assistant position will be to support the finance function and business with the maintenance of the AP ledger and working with suppliers to resolve any issues. The role will also include some accounts receivable responsibilities to include credit control and customer statements.

The permanent position of Finance Assistant will offer a salary upto £21,000 with an excellent benefits package.  The organisation is based in Edinburgh and are accessible via public transport links. In this role candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Accounts Payable – invoice logging/ coding & posting both expense and materials
  • Supplier Statement reconciliation & maintenance
  • Credit control management
  • Accounts receivable statement production 
  • KPIs 
  • Providing support with any additional ad-hoc finance related tasks

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a finance environment or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Competent with excel
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-starter
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
