A growing business in Glasgow requires a Finance Assistant / Part Qualified Accountant


The Company

This business offers their clients bespoke manufacturing and distribution service sand they have built up an enviable reputation for consistently surpassing expectations. They pride themselves on the ethical way they conduct their business and they always ensure those affiliated with them match those standards.

The Role

This is a brand new position which has been created due to the on-going growth of the business. You will be a key point of contact within the finance team and you will ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and client issues are dealt with professionally.

The role will provide a great stepping stone for an aspiring Chartered Accountant and there will be opportunities to progress into a more senior role which would give exposure to Management Accounting duties


  • Process Sales & Purchase invoices accurately
  • Set up new client profiles on the CRM system, ensuring credit checks are carried out
  • Manage the petty cash on a daily basis, process expense claims and flag issues to management
  • Process payments in a timely manner
  • Assist with managing company cashflow
  • Provide financial analysis and other information to senior management for reporting purposes
  • Assist with other ad hoc duties as required

On Offer

Depending on experience, you will be rewarded with a salary of £20-25k, plus other benefits. There would also be opportunities to receive study support if you plan to pursue a professional accountancy qualification.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • You must have hands-on experience of processing transactions within a fast-paced environment
  • You must be able to communicate comfortably with senior management
  • Hands-on experience of using Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Previous experience of using Sage would be beneficial but training can be provided
  • First class organisational skills will be required
