iMultiply are supporting an organisation based on the west coast of Scotland with the appointment of a permanent Finance & Corporate Services Director paying upto £65,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package.

The Organisation

The organisation has considerably evolved over the past five years as it strives to become more commercially minded, focused and self-sustaining. This exciting transformation project is well underway and the natural pains & gowns which come hand in hand with these type of journeys has been significantly softened due to its impressive talent acquisition at executive level.

The Role

The position of Finance & Corporate Services Director is a newly developed reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial readiness of the organisation whilst advising and influencing the Board on direction, risks, and strategy. To be considered for this opportunity you will be a qualified Accountant that has a proven track record of operating within senior finance posts ideally with both commercial and non-for-profit organisations.

On Offer

The role of Finance & Corporate Services Director will offer a salary of upto £65,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The organisation is based in a remote location on the west coast of Scotland but the organisation are open to an individual relocating or someone driving up and staying Monday to Thursday with an early finish to drive home on a Friday. 

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board
  • Responsible for ensuring the financial readiness of the organisation and advising on direction, risks & strategy
  • Management of the finance & corporate services team
  • Leading on several high value and business critical projects
  • Overseeing the production of monthly reporting and Board packs
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts and returns
  • Budget setting and monitoring
  • Short, medium and long-term forecasting & cashflow analysis
  • Reviewing and developing process, procedures & controls
  • Assessment and enhancements of systems and financial software
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong post qualification experience
  • Operated within a senior finance professional level role – Head of Finance, Deputy Finance Director, Finance Director
  • Exposure to both the commercial AND not-for-profit sector would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to liaise and influence senior stakeholders including the Board
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
