The Role

The position of Employment Tax Assistant Manager/Manager will require you to facilitate and manage a large portfolio of diverse clients. You will act as the main point of contact for the project team and support Senior Management and Partners in ensuring the timely delivery of the tax work. You will have the opportunity to develop your business development and management skills and be responsible for assisting with the task of driving the department and business forward.

This opportunity can be based in either Glasgow/Edinburgh with both offices based conveniently in the heart of the city centres with excellent access to public transport links.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Facilitating and managing a large portfolio of diverse clients to ensure a timely and quality level of service
  • Providing advice and support to clients
  • Mentoring and development of junior team members
  • Reviewing the work of the team
  • Managing billings and fees to ensure jobs are profitable and efficiently completed
  • Co-ordinating the work of the team to meet deadlines
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Assisting Partners and Senior Management in Business Development including cross selling for the benefit of other departments
  • Assisting in the preparation of tenders

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years Employment Tax experience
  • Supervisory or people management exposure would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to interact and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
