This well-known, sizeable accountancy practice with a national reach, currently requires a Manager to join its Digital Transformation team in Glasgow.

The Firm

One of Scotland's largest accountancy practices, the firm provides the full range of accountancy, audit, tax and advisory services including a market leading Digital Accounting service.

The Role

The Digital Transformation Manager’s role is to understand, manage and roll-out the adoption of Digital Accounting platforms and apps to clients and staff. The candidate will be responsible for the 7 offices across the Scottish region.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate initiatives to drive client adoption of the in-house created platform and applications such as Xero, Receipt Bank and add-on apps, to unify and standardise delivery of compliance services;
  • Identify opportunities whereby staff and clients can leverage technology to improve and enhance efficiency and client service delivery;
  • Identify staff learning and development requirements and coordinate and facilitate a staff training plan in the delivery of digital accounting services to clients across our core app stack;
  • Act as key liaison and leader of our Digital Champions network to inspire, empower and lead these staff members to implement positive digital change in their offices; 
  • Develop team networks across the firm to inspire and empower staff to get involved in digital projects to improve our working practices;
  • Create knowledge-sharing practices, tools and guides to optimise key processes for staff to enhance their overall client service delivery;
  • Act as key relationship manager for all digital accounting software and apps and develop joint training plans;
  • Lead the implementation of new developments in software platforms;
  • Record and track KPI’s on a quarterly basis, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of client services and staff development;
  • Signposting support to clients and staff with their internal and client specific cloud accounting queries;
  • Month-end responsibilities such as software health checks, billing and reports;
  • Working across locations (Scotland-wide) to deliver above responsibilities and occasionally travelling to Birmingham and London for group meetings.

The Person

  • ICAS, ICAEW or ACCA qualification is essential
  • Experience in using digital accounting platforms such as Xero is desired but not essential if have aptitude to learn
  • Strong agile project management, communication and team working skills
  • Ability to train others and encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Strong experience in delivering client support in digital accounting platforms and apps
  • Ability to work with a network of teams structured around the delivery of a strategy
  • Strong relationship management skills with external and internal stakeholders
  • Agile planning and organising skills to ensure that the varied workload is managed effectively
  • IT literate; Powerpoint, Excel, online digital tools, survey tools, project management tools
  • Self-motivated and exhibit entrepreneurial traits
