A global servicing organisation is looking for a Credit Controller to join their busy and established Finance team.  This is a permanent role and based in the company’s headquarters in Glasgow.

 

The Company

Established in Glasgow, this organisation has grown on a global scale and operating in a number of countries and working with high profile clients.  Due to a period of expansion, the business now require additional support across their Credit Control function

 

The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient and effective credit control for the company.  You will support in developing and implementing processes as and when required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work towards KPIs and ensure cash and debtor targets are met
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone/email/letter
  • Manage disputed bills and escalate issues accordingly
  • Negotiate to bring payment within agreed terms
  • Process sales ledger on to systems in a timely manner
  • Maintain accuracy at all times and investigate discrepancies
  • Provide management with regular analysis on aged debtors
  • Set up new clients on CRM system, including running credit checks
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Any other ad hoc duties delegated by senior management

 

On Offer

You will be offered a salary of £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience plus benefits which include bonus, free onsite parking and professional development and be given the exposure of working within a global business.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • You must have demonstrable experience of a similar Credit Control role and you will be able to show a thorough understanding of all credit control duties
  • Experience of working within a Corporate/Financial Services industry is essential
  • Exposure to working with foreign currencies is required
  • Understanding of credit control processes
  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 200 would be advantageous
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills will be required
  • A proven track record of developing collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders (both internally and within client organisations) is essential
