A prestigious, highly successful organisation are currently looking for a Credit Controller to join their Head office in Hamilton.

The Company

The Role

The key focus for this role is for the successful candidate to be accurate and efficient, with an ability to be proactive and work to tight deadlines. Experience within a professional environment is advantageous but not essential. The role will include taking charge of a portfolio of overdue accounts, regular communication with both clientele and other businesses, and accurately recording conversations and progress. Excellent communication skills are key. 

On Offer

The position of Credit Controller will offer between £20,000PA. The organisation is based in Hamilton and are easily accessible via public transport onsite parking is available.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following:

  • Daily engagement with customers regarding outstanding money, invoices and all other credit control issues (majority via email)
  • Record all updates on internal finance system
  • Allocate and record payments made by major customers
  • Liaise daily with account managers and customers in response to queries
  • Preparation of weekly reports for internal and external stakeholders (Forecast and Action Reports)
  • Undertakes any other finance department activities as required
  • General ad-hoc duties

Person specification

  • 24 months+ previous experience within a credit control position (professional services advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • A proactive individual, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
