A Corporate Tax Assistant Manager opportunity has arisen within a well-established accountancy firm based in Glasgow.

The Role

Maintain a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring deadlines for reporting and tax are met and to ensure smooth progression of each specific job.  

Main duties include the following:

  • All aspects relating to review of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Review of tax accounting disclosures in company accounts
  • Tax audit review work
  • Business tax advisory and tax planning where appropriate
  • Opportunity to develop specific tax technical skills in areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax credits, dealing with HMRC and international tax services
  • Ensure that all tax reporting deadlines are met
  • Liaise on work flow by maintaining a work plan
  • Provide sound account/business advice to clients via Partner
  • Update PM system with current job status
  • Manage and develop client relationships

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Relevant previous experience required within professional services or industry
  • Relevant accounting or tax qualification
  • Effective team working skills
  • Effective planning and organising skills to ensure that the varied workload is managed effectively
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels.
  • IT literate; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Self motivated
