A highly respected, mid-tier accountancy practice currently requires a Manager to join its Corporate Tax team based in Glasgow

This Scottish accountancy practice is a long established and technology driven business solutions provider headquartered in Scotland. The practice offers a range of accounting and financial services including wealth management, cloud accounting, personal and corporate tax, R&D funding, audit, business restructuring, personal insolvency, payroll, HR and entrepreneurial services. 

The role

The Corporate Tax team deals with a number of Corporate Tax issues including Tax Advisory and Tax Compliance. As Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager with Corporate Tax, Direct and Indirect tax within our client’s organisation

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the corporation tax compliance for your portfolio of clients, including budget and billing management.
  • Reviewing work of peers and junior personnel, providing constructive feedback where necessary.
  • Management of the global compliance portfolio liaising inter-office, inter-department and with clients where appropriate.
  • Providing input into the systems and controls operating over the compliance function.
  • Working closely with junior members of the team to aid their personal and technical development.
  • Working closely with senior members of the team, assisting with and/or and managing tax advisory projects, including reviewing the advisory work of peers and junior personnel.
  • Line management responsibility for trainees and other junior members of the team.
  • Being actively involved in business development with current and prospective clients.
  • To be considered for the opportunity you will possess the following:

  • Qualified CA/CTA/ATT with extensive Corporate Tax compliance experience obtained within an accountancy practice

  • Corporate Tax advisory experience would be useful

  • Staff Management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
