iMultiply are supporting the appointment of a permanent Controller position based in Edinburgh paying a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

The Role

The position of Controller is a newly created role due to continuous growth through-out the UK and Europe. The role will manage and develop a sizable team (locally and international) with a significant emphasise on enhancing the month-end close whilst constantly developing processes, procedures & controls. Once the primary objective is achieved there will be a number of other aspects the successful individual can get involved in including high value projects, M&A and system/business optimisation.

The role of Controller will offer a highly competitive salary and package including bonus, pension & private healthcare. The offices premises are based in Edinburgh and easily accessible via public transport plus parking facilities are available upon request.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the Senior European Financial Controller
  • Managing and developing a sizable finance team of qualified Accountants, qualified by experience and part qualified Accountants both locally & internationally
  • Involvement in high value projects, M&A and business system/optimisation
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures and controls
  • Overseeing financial accounting, GL, balance sheet maintenance and month-end close
  • KPI setting and monitoring
  • Liaising with other functions such as taxation, treasury, corporate finance and I.T
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Building relationships and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this vacancy, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified Accountant – ESSENTIAL
  • Managed sizable teams, preferably within an environment such as shared services
  • Proven track record of developing and enhancing month end, processes, procedures & controls
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and influence senior stakeholders
