A major, global accountancy practice currently requires a Service Delivery Manager to head up its Business Growth advisory service in Scotland

​The Role

​The role will focus on supporting small and medium sized businesses to reach their growth potential. The Service Delivery Manager will have responsibility to manage and grow the Business Growth offering in Scotland and effectively deliver the targets and objectives for the client base of the Business Growth Services group. This will involve:

  • Recruiting client companies to the Growth Finance service in line with suitability criteria
  • Build, manage and serve a portfolio of clients, securing additional revenue from up-sell and on-sell activities
  • Build a strong network of connections in the entrepreneurial and early-stage finance markets and be proactive in building the Firm’s footprint and reputation in these markets
  • Ensure compliance with all required service related reporting
  • Deliver exemplary levels of client satisfaction

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed set business objectives for acquisition of new clients and new business sales for Business Growth Services
  • Maximise business retention and new business opportunities with existing clients and through referrals from clients to meet and exceed business objectives and targets
  • Develop effective strategic relationships with their new business opportunities and manage the day to day prospect requirements to maximise conversion rates and ensure first class service delivery and client care
  • Develop a strategic understanding of their key clients’ current business and future opportunities through direct client understanding, general research and commercial knowledge of their businesses. Ensure this information is recorded on the CRM system and is fed back through the business as appropriate on a timely basis
  • Proactively work with clients to assess and build a funding strategy and support clients to build high quality, finance-ready documentation
  • Work with the wider Business Growth Services team to develop and deliver introductory workshops, events and activities for interested organisations to drive the new business sales process
  • Deliver extremely high levels of customer satisfaction regarding our ability to understand the needs of each clients and match to valuable, effective and timely support to meet those needs
  • Build and manage lasting relationships with clients drawing upon specialist financial experience to educate and upskill clients on suitable funding options
  • Quickly build effective relationships with clients and their leadership teams, and gain professional credibility with all clients, stakeholders and internal colleagues
  • Focus on achievement of business objectives and targets, concentrating on maximising client satisfaction and overall sales targets
  • Deliver revenue and business targets as set through conversion of prospects into paid clients
  • Assists in the management and hosting of lead generation, workshops or other events wherever necessary; and /or maintain lead relationship with key organisations generating leads.

The Person

  • Experience of working with, and advising, growing businesses. 
  • Significant proven Business to Business Sales or Business Development experience.
  • Proven track record in a target orientated environment
  • Strong understanding of business financial information and forecasts
  • Skills in understanding and delivering all aspects of Business Plan development 
  • A highly credible individual with an excellent understanding of how relevant market sectors work and the challenges and barriers to the business and organisational growth
  • Able to develop good working relationships with colleagues, senior management in client companies and with a wide range of business support specialists and the Specialist team
  • The ability and knowledge to identify barriers to growth and determine suitability of products and services to the clients
