A Global mid-tier accountancy practice seeks an exceptional individual to lead their indirect Tax offering as Associate Director of VAT.

The Company

This very highly regarded firm, seen a market leader, has gone through double digit growth locally year on year both in terms of revenue and headcount. The strength of the business is in its people and it boasts some of the best talent in Northern Ireland. The local business works closely with it’s colleagues in the UK & ROI.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to head up indirect tax for the local business whilst there will be a clear route of progression to Director. The VAT team are regularly engaged on some very interesting local deals where a keen eye for detail is essential. This may include due diligence on the buyer side and a number of large property deals. This is an area where the business is targeting major growth and the successful candidate will be central to that.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the indirect tax offering for the business
  • Advising clients on Vat issues and conducting VAT reviews
  • Carrying out due diligence assignments
  • Working with the European offices on VAT related projects
  • Managing and developing the VAT team
  • Helping to grow the local business by winning new clients

On Offer

A very competitive salary of £50,000 – 60,000 will be on offer, depending on the experience of the successful candidate. There is also an extensive benefits package and an easily accessible office, located in Belfast City Centre.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified
  • Extensive tax and VAT experience within a large practice firm
  • First class technical capability
  • Ability to train, manage and motivate a team
  • A willing networker, both externally and internally
  • The skill to simplify complex information for key stakeholders
