iMultiply are delighted to be exclusively engaged on the role of Assistant Management Accountant for a non-for-profit organisation based in Edinburgh. The role is paying a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 per annum with additional benefits.

The Company 

The employer is a well-established non-for-profit organisation whose aim is to provide exemplary care, support and education to those with complex disabilities. They are based all over Scotland and are constantly striving to improve their services. Therefore, they are looking to hire an individual who is able to bring fresh ideas to the table; and who is looking to make a direct impact to a great cause!

The Role

The role of Assistant Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the Finance Director. The successful individual will be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts; providing financial support to service management on a business partnering like basis; and VAT and other relevant statutory returns. 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with a number of non-finance stakeholders within the organisation.

On Offer

The role of Assistant Management Accountant will offer a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 plus an additional benefits package (including STUDY SUPPORT where relevant). The office is based in Edinburgh and is easily accessible via public transport. 

You will be involved with but not limited to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Financial Controller
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of draft budgets for Site Managers; as well as providing guidance and interpreting in layman’s terms
  • Preparation of statutory and other financial returns i.e. VAT, Gift Aid etc.
  • Preparation of Cashflow projections 
  • Assisting in the preparation of draft year-end accounts 
  • Other Ad Hoc finance related duties

To be considered for the role you must: 

  • Have a minimum of 5 years relevant finance experience 
  • Have experience of preparing management accounts
  • Have experience operating Oracle or similar accounting software packages
  • Have excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • Have good MS Office Excel literacy, including pivot tables, vlookups etc.
